Dad stories
"Do anything good for your birthday?" one of your friendly B3TA moderator team asked in one of those father/son phone calls that last two minutes. "Yep," he said, "Your mum." Tell us about dads, lack of dad and being a dad.

A couple of bits of advice from me
1) The nine months is not for the baby to develop, it's to give you time to get your head around the whole thing. The fear you feel now will fade over the months.*
2) If you have any uncompleted projects on the go, do them NOW. Once the little grub arrives, "free time" will be a distant memory -- at least until they reach 5 or so.
* To be replaced by a completely new set of fears, of course.

#2 definitely seconded!
The word "just" will totally disappear from your vocabulary. As in "I'll just go and mow the lawn/fix those shelves/have a pint/run round the park..."
Also remember that *everyone* is making it up as they go along.
Most of all, enjoy it. It is great!

Too true
I have about a dozen unfinished jobs about the house.
When?
No idea.
