yesbut
doesn't the tasty lack of tax make up for it?

not if you have to leave
the minute you lose your job and have taken out loans to get there.

there have been around 3000 cars dumped at the airport now
i have spoken to a lawyer and there are apparently ways legally to avoid this ie being flung in jail with you accounts drained and security cheques being cashed in - they make you sign a cheque here for the full amount on any lending ie you buy a car on finance - you still sign a cheque for the lot, same for personal loans or rent - which can be a year upfront. a modest 2 bed apartment still costs around 20,000GBP a year even though property value has dropped by up to 50% in places

HOWEVER this lawyer wont be specific about ANYTHING because as he is arab, naturally he wants a large wedge of cash first - large being 1000GBP just to put in writing what my rights are. and he is a reputable highly recommended one.

oh and as soon as you are out of work you have 30 days then your visa expires - when a company pays your last salary they have to tell the bank - who seize any funds to pay outstanding credit card bills or loans. then they freeze any remaining cash.

we had a round of redundancies last week. i survived that. i don't think i will survive the next round.

then its get the fuck out of dodge
