This is a question DIY disasters

I just can't do power tools. They always fly out of control and end up embedded somewhere they shouldn't. I've no idea how I've still got all the appendages I was born with.

Add to that the fact that nothing ends up square, able to support weight or free of sticking-out sharp bits and you can see why I try to avoid DIY.

Tell us of your own DIY disasters.

I pray that my prevoius landlord dosent look to hard at the walls.
Otherwise they may find that large sections of plasterboard are in fact bran flakes boxes, held in place by plaster and paint.

You can also use white toothpaste to fill nail holes
and it smells nice too!

^^^^ How true!
The first time I got proper drunk was in a hotel in New Orleans, aged 15. I somehow managed to get ink on the walls, then used a screwdriver to gouge holes in the plaster to remove the ink, and then filled in the holes with toothpaste.
