DIY disastersI just can't do power tools. They always fly out of control and end up embedded somewhere they shouldn't. I've no idea how I've still got all the appendages I was born with.
Add to that the fact that nothing ends up square, able to support weight or free of sticking-out sharp bits and you can see why I try to avoid DIY.

B&Q bathroomi had similar - ripped out bathroom, delivery planned that day. Driver goes awol and doesn't answer phone. B&Q say "its been delivered Mr C" " No it feckon hasn't" and so forth.
About 6.30pm and loads os shouting later, it turns out the driver was on his last day, was a twunt anyway but had been given notice to finish up that day. He found a different Mr C in the village and delivered everything to their back garden.
They asked if i could go an pick it up from there - pretty much due to size of shower doors etc would have needed at least a Luton with a tail lift and i wasn't insured to move it.
W*nkers.
