DIY disastersI just can't do power tools. They always fly out of control and end up embedded somewhere they shouldn't. I've no idea how I've still got all the appendages I was born with.
Add to that the fact that nothing ends up square, able to support weight or free of sticking-out sharp bits and you can see why I try to avoid DIY.

As previously stated in a different replyit took us 3 weeks to assemble a bloody Argos computer desk. We got one that had doors so you could have the computer out of view, as it was going to live in our bedroom (not an ideal scenario, hence wanting to be able to hide it away).
Bloody bastard nightmare to construct particularly when there were screws to be screwed into holes where there wasn't actually enough space to get a screwdriver in...
