My Dad could do anything...even perform minor surgery on his children .
After gashing my leg on a knackered pedal on someone elses bike ,and waiting for hours in A&E at kings college hospital,he decided to stitch me up himself ,using some heavy cotton thread and my Mums darning needle.Oddly I don't remember it hurting much doing the stitching.

I cracked my head when I was littleI got taken to A&E but had to wait ages because the hospital was small and there was no anaesthetist.
In my wisdom, my mum told them to stitch my head up without the anaesthetic. I don't remember it hurting much either, probably because my head was already hurting.
