that's a big leapLanes are there for overtaking not imposing your speed and lack of driving ability on every other road user. Mirrors are there to see what's going on around you not for vanity reasons.
Cretins who hog lanes are some the cause of so many problems on motorways, especially fucktards who swing out into the righthand (in lefthand side of the road countries) lane because they're almost approaching another vehicle and move without checking... Generally well within the speed limit. It's not "safer" for anyone for you to plant yourself in any lane... It's safer if you actually fucking drive and go into the left most lane - too many BMW twats believe they're God given right is to sit statically in an inappropriate lane too btw.
