weekend jobwhile in the 6th form at school i got myself a sunday job at the new DIY store " payless". I also got my best mates in there for sundays too. This was back in the 90s. We did no work, just spent all day in the office with the letch manager making silly announcements over the tannoy. " Mr Kay to the office, Mr Maxwell / Mcdonald / McVitie to see you" Depending on what was going, coffee burgers or biscuits. Best of all was that we all got paid double time coz it was a sunday. That was £40.99 for one day's work. ( considered lots back then ) oooh, and lots of free walkers crisps and kitkats . I wonder why they went bust.....
