The Bradford Monk
As most of the othere Bradfordians on this site will attest to in our little city we have a person known as the Bradford Monk. He is of indeterminate age and little is known about him. He just walks the streets of Braford and the surronding area, wearing monks robes and sandels, all year long. The odd things is he seems to have been around for ever, my ma says he was walking around when she was younger and he doesnt look any older.

I like him
I used to work in Bradford, and I used to see him around a lot. He's always cheerful and waves nicely at people.

Nice to some
he can be nice, unless you are a same sex couple, look a bit different or wear the wrong type of clothes, then he turns quite nasty.

Bradford Monk
He's got a competitor now.

Greggs Pasty Man - usually seen around Eccleshill/Idle/Undercliffe but reputed to travel - I saw him in Saltaire a few weeks ago.

Identifying features - mop of filthy hair, equally filthy blue anorak, permanently clutching a Gregg's carrier bag.

Certainly not as prolific or friendly as The Monk, though.

Apparently the Monk is called Geoffrey and lives in a shed in Baildon.

I know this guy...
He once started to chant, walk in cicles around and upset somebody I know because they had a star of david/pentogram necklace on.

He can be a bit of a nasty pasty if you’re alternative which doesn’t seem very Christian to me ;o(
