This is a question Expensive Weekends

Chthonic says he's still reeling from a trip to a wedding that cost him nearly £600; while a friend of ours hazily presented his credit card to the bar staff in a shady club in the Baltic states. You know how that one ended.

this annoys me
people who work and pay taxes often can't afford things like this if they happen with no warning. people who don't or, like me, can't work, get treatment free. why shouldn't everyone get free treatment? yes, i know it's not financially a good idea for the economy, but it's still monumentally unfair. you have to fork out hard-earned cash for a chipped tooth, i get a gold tooth for fuck all. it sucks.

You do?
I believe it's some alloy on the back and plastic on the visible teeth on the NHS: at least, that's what me and the mister have had.
Also, it's £45ish for fillings on NHS without the "free" thing... not as scary as private prices.

my dentist is very good
when i needed my new tooth, he asked if i wanted a white one. then, he looked at me a bit funny and said "you want the gold one because it's shiny, don't you?"
he knows me too well ;)
