Chthonic says he's still reeling from a trip to a wedding that cost him nearly £600; while a friend of ours hazily presented his credit card to the bar staff in a shady club in the Baltic states. You know how that one ended.

...And, as yet, she doesn't fly, though I understand that may change in the future. Just after my mum died, I thought a road trip, with this as a highlight would be a good pick-me-up for my dad (and me), so we did HMS Victory, Hendon, Duxford, East Kirkby and the Shuttleworth collection in a long weekend. It was reassuringly expensive.
As for the B17, Aluminum Overcoat gives 22 minute flights, and as I now live some 10 miles from one of its stopping points, I'd be churlish not to. (and at $399, it's cheaper than the taxi run in the Lanc)

very impressed, though i read an article that the museum wouldnt want lose their main attraction and the revenue while they took the 5 years to make back to flight condition, i do hope it does make it back up where it belongs.
fantastic getting up in the B17 hope it is as amazing as it sounds. I did a Stearman flight at Kitty Hawk a few years back when i was working in NC a few years back, worth every cent of the $120 for the 20 minute flight.
