This is a question Expensive Weekends

Chthonic says he's still reeling from a trip to a wedding that cost him nearly £600; while a friend of ours hazily presented his credit card to the bar staff in a shady club in the Baltic states. You know how that one ended.

Aw, bless :)
Considering it's just a highly involved boardgame people spend £100's on the thing, and considering that it's still highly popular there's that taboo that goes around which is to do with admitting that you play it. It's exactly the same with admitting that you like to watch wrestling; odd looks from others :p

I spent a shedload of money playing World of Warcraft, but that was over the course of 5 years to be fair.

There's at least one
role-playing game about professional wrestling.

There's always someone worse off than yourself.

And the worst part is...
...I have played it. And actually enjoyed it, too. On the geek hierarchy, I may well be hanging around the 'self-insert furry in a Trek fanfic' area (although thank God I have never, ever been involved with M-Preg. Christ on a sodding bike.)

I found WoW
real cheap, a colleague suggested I play it to save money and I brought a house with my savings about 3 years ago. Problem was I found it hard to put down and progressed to hardcore raiding, which in hindsight was either great fun or the worst use of 6-7 hours known to man. People bitching and leaving party was the big problem. I lossed count of the amount of times i nearly soiled my pants due to a massive boss fight that you couldn't leave...It's good to share ;)

If you want to know what WoW is really like and you haven't played it, watch south parks, make love not warcraft, it's balls on accurate.
