While I agree with your rantI don't think she removed herself, so much as was removed.
Sadly she managed to breed before she went, and I imagine in 15 years time we will be treated to the delight of her 18yo kids writing their autobiographies, about the pain and anguish of having lost their mum when they were young, as that's never, ever happened to anyone else ever before.
