The Eggheads - those 'boffins' on that Godawful TV Quiz ShowWinning a few glorified pub quizzes seems to have given each of them a very large chip on their shoulders, and although 'hate' is too strong a word, they are extremely irritating.
It's genuinely cringe-inducing watching each of them try to outshine each other by giving back stories on subjects or 'extra' information when all that's bloody needed is the answer, from a multiple choice format.

They are indeed the Smug Squad.It wouldn't suprise me if I turned on "Eggheads" one day to be greeted with 5 people eating croisants sitting on deckchairs reading the Daily Mail. While looking smug.
