Lots of people like the vengeance trilogy but the best Korean films are just devestatingly sad.
1. Brotherhood- the story of two brothers fighting in the Korean war. Don't want to spoil it. It will make you cry.
2. JSA- about the relationship between the soldiers on the north and south sides of the border.

Watching either of these films will result in severe dehydration as all of your bodily fluids erupt from your tear ducts.

Both of these are films on my list of "brilliant but will never ever watch again". I just can't cope with them.
