Just remembered another one
Sheriff and the Satellite Kid and it's sequel - Why don't you pick on me?

Watched it when I was about 8 and cried my eyes out when I watched it at the end....

Also, strangely enuff, I watched a movie called The Nuclear Countdown around the same time and cried when the president died :(.

My mum still takes the p*ss out of that one..

On an off topic point..anyone read Oor Wullie?

I was reading it when I was a kid...and Wullie had this pet mouse called Jeemie...Wullie couldn't keep him anymore and sent him off....so off walks wee Jeemie...his little belongings in a wee bag on a stick...look sad as he wanders off..

So what does 5 year David do....?

Waaaaaa :'(

yeap, I cried my little heart out..

I loved Oor Wullie
I'm half scottish, when I was a kid I used to sit on the toilet reading it in a broad scottish accent.

I've grown up in Northamptonshire in England.

I can't do the accent anymore :(

hello
hey, you never really lose it...spend sometime with a few scots and it'll come flooding back tae ya.

edit: oh yeah, and I'm 100% scottish. I'm a buddie...does anyone know what a buddy is?

Haha
What about The Broons?!

The Broons
yeah. the broons were aright. Kinda lost it's humour though when they went all modern.

I like the older albums...the new ones now are just stupid. Same with Oor Wullie mind you..

got a commerative edition in the house...one book two families..contains a lot of the stories I remember.

A buddie?
Poor you.

(Unless of course you're referring to it's more universal meaning)

St. Mirren - why?

Edit - are you Chick Young? :)

hi
na, I'm not Chick Young :)

I am a nice respectable IT contractor during the day in London now. At least thats what I turned into after I left buddy town.

btw. town is called PAISLEY for those who wonder what a buddy is :)
