Perhaps dubious as I was told this by a 30 year old holiday rep...but there is a build up of orange and pink stuff in the showers which I was told was human fat.

Consider...Everyone has skin oils, when you wash with soap or anything like it the oils get washed off your skin and form a scummy layer on the water.
