How clean is your house?
"Part of my kitchen floor are thick with dust, grease, part of a broken mug, a few mummified oven-chips, a desiccated used teabag and a couple of pieces of cutlery", says Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic. To most people, that's filth. To some of us, that's dinner. Tell us about squalid homes or obsessive cleaners.

One of my ex-girlfriends was a real clean freak
I got home one night after work to see that I'd received a letter in the post - upon opening, I found it was my new car insurance documents, to be signed and returned.
Returning to the kitchen a moment later with a pen, I couldn't find the form. Maybe I'd left it where the pens were... nope. Scratching my head, I asked my girlfriend "Did you see what I did with that insurance form?"
"Oh" she replied "I put it away, it looked untidy"
And indeed she had. In the expanding file where all the documents and policies lived.
Length? About 30 seconds while I went to find a pen... O_o

Yeah, that's about what it did to me!
Heh, I've just clicked your post by accident :)

ARRRGHHH!!!
My wife does this CONSTANTLY, but with a twist--she doesn't put things where they belong, she just puts them "away." Oh, and her short-term memory is poor due to years of pot smoking, so "away" is always a variable. My life is a sadistic treasure hunt.

Gah
I could never find anything in the flat I shared with my ex. Phone chargers, CDs, mp3 players, everything just vanished from the vicinity of my desk (which is where I keep stuff, in highly organised piles) and it used to drive me insane because the missus would always just shrug and say it was wherever I left it. After the inevitable break-up, I was packing stuff to move to my new flat when I found, in the cupboard under the stairs, a box of stuff that she'd stashed there - all the stuff that made my desk look "untidy". It contained no less than three Nokia phone chargers, no wonder I could never find one to actually CHARGE MY PHONE.

My wife used to do this too.
I once couldn't find something and ended up searching under the stairs to find it full of boxes full of random crap. Turned out that tidying up consisted of "obtain empty box, fill empty box, stash full box". I've pretty much broken her of this now (though the odd box will still turn up time to time). The house is a lot less tidy but it drives me crazy to have to search for stuff especially if I need the stuff for something I am about to do.
