I drive a modern German diesel car
Long run = 64.8 miles/gallon*
General driving = 49.2 miles/gallon
'Merkins have, up to now, never had an incentive to make their engines economical. Maybe now they'll learn!
* that's real Imperial gallons not these namby pamby colonial ones.
