you weren't "promptly fired two days later" then, you handed your notice in and left. Not quite the same thing. I'd have waited to be fired, can't wait to see how they'd defend firing someone at a tribunal, just because they "smell".
Perhaps the sour cream was the best smell you wafted round the office, stale BO and crusty cock cheese with a topping of flakey jizz, cunningly "disguised" with half a tin of Lynx isn't going to endear you to anyone.
