Bastards.
I used these ratbags' services just the once. As a student (and utterly dismal 'writer' for the union's fortnightly newspaper), I attempted to raise some money by flogging Cash Converters a pile of promo CDs I'd been given to review.

I suppose the good thing about offering them new-release CDs is that, unlike name-brand stuff, they have no idea of their value. The clueless manager serving me couldn't tell whether I was offering him priceless rarities, Top 10 bestsellers or what. He had no idea that I was actually attempting to offload a pile of old shit that nobody with ears would touch with a pooey stick (anyone remember Cecil, by the way?).

Anyhow, I'd like to end this story by triumphantly gloating that I convinced the evil Cash Converters to pay me £50 for a handful of worthless guff. Unfortunately, what actually happened was that he took one look at them, started asking me for three forms of ID, utility bills, last two addresses etc, before deciding that it was too much trouble and offering me a quid for the lot.

Lazy bastards.
