If you are really skint you flog your telly or whatever to them - they give you well under its real 2nd hand value. You have little choice.
If you are less skint and need a telly, you assume they will be cheap in cash converters as its 2nd hand. you buy the telly at their huge markup without doing a little research and finding you could have got a similar spec telly brand new from John Lewis down the road.
Last time I walked past the Aberdeen branch, they had a sign in the window spouting along the lines of how you could sell your car to them, then rent it back off them to "free up its value". I dread to think what sort of deal with the devil that really is.
