I remember hearing a similar story onceI remember hearing a similar story once of someone who did something similar, ran outside and withdrew "£250 with recipt" then reversed the transfer.
Didn't use any money that wasnt his, just had a recipt saying he had withdrawn £250 and still had an account balance of like £1,456,156.92.
Then later on down the pub, gets friendly with a bird he's trying to pull and writes down his number on the back of "a bit of scrap paper i've got in my wallet" which cunningly is this recipt and leaves it with her.
Most likely is total bullcrap but made me laugh at the time for the shear desperation of it.
