Our economy is built on credit and inflated real estate prices too. However, once the rest of the world cottons on to the fact that we have lost the ability to make anything unique in the world and are for all intents and purposes a bunch of unskilled desk jockeys then we're going to end up sewing footballs for the Chinese.
That will be the lingering price of Thatcherism.
