Getting Old
Drimble asks: When was it last brought home to you just how old you're getting? We last asked this in 2004, and you're eight years older now. Eight. Years.

I'll see your Saab
and raise you a Vauxhall Insignia, with a sensible 1.8l engine.

and raise you a Jaguar S-Type, with an altogether less than sensible 2.7L V6 engine.

Ouch.
Although, I'm almost old enough now to think buying a Jensen Interceptor for weekend fun is a good idea.
7.2 litre V8. Maybe not.

Depends if your idea of weekend fun = high speed death.
I do love old cars though, hence the Jag as it's the closest I can get without driving something that'll explode at the merest brush with 40mph.

Yeah, but it's gotta be done.
Sometime in the next 5 years, I will get myself a proper toy.
Maybe a triumph Stag, which is half way.

Oh aye.
I thought the owners were a bit oddly fanatical about them until I drove one. Cost fuck all second hand as well.

I drive a Skoda and do you know what? It's actually rather good.
Pass the pipe and slippers please...

I seem to have somehow bought a Volvo estate
It was cheap
My car had died and I needed one for work
It was nearby, and is likely to be reliable
I keep repeating these facts to myself and trying to forget that my dad was also 33 when he first bought a Volvo ....
