Also water based low VOC gloss paint isn't. Water based paint is good for walls, but on wood its pants. If you hate the smell of solvent wait till its a warm day before painting and leave the windows open

My old man used to leave a peeled onion in a bucket of warm water in the room as well.Worked a treat every time.
