This is the sort of crap that late teenagers reading "The Game" spout
along with "out alpha-ing" each other and "gaming" women or whatever it is they do instead of actually having a personality and being interesting.

Yeah,
I'm aware of a few people who take this advice to mean "be a bell end". I was given it because I was in the habit of saying sorry a lot, even for things I had no need to be sorry for. Hit just the right balance and it increases how confident you seem, take it too far and you look like a swaggering dickhead (though the aforementioned swaggering dickheads do seem to get a lot of women).

You did say...
..."Never apologise."

Which really leaves no room for interpretation.

Well, yes.
but I did add the disclaimer not to take it too literally, and it was a direct quote from the guy who said it.

Well...
...ok then. But there's not a lot of room for interpretation really, is there?

In that case I'll re-word it to fit my circumstances and how I took it
"Don't apologise too readily or certain people will take you for a doormat and summarily take advantage."

Oh would you mind?
That's awfully kind of you - thanks.

That's much better advice.
