i feel for you, mani've had to deal with this sort of thing loads of times. apparently, i'm a really good listener, so i end up having my shoulder soaked regularly.
i had enough in the end, so now, if a friend starts seeing someone i think is wrong for them, i tell them all the same thing: if it goes tits-up, i'm there for you. if you're stupid enough to go back to him/her and it happens again, you're on your own.
