I'd love to claim that my metaphorsimile reflected the conflicting impulses to simultaneously have a panic attack and to be drugged by my beloveds velvety voice, but actually I just thought "smack" sounded better than "speed". I've no idea what it is.

I was all imminent panic attack at the time.
