Yeah, been there. QMC Hospital, Notts. Went in for some surgery, woke up, starving hungry. (And as allowed to eat)
They found me a lunchbox, which contained a clingwrapped ham sandwich (one slice, shit bread, low fat spread), a small apple, and an individually wrapped cake that was - and I do not exaggerate - one inch square. And that's it.
No wonder people starve to death in British hospitals when the outsourced food is that shit.

Last yearA family member was in hospital for a month and lost nearly a stone in weight, We ended up taking in home cooked meals with us and refusing to leave in spite of being told no visitors at meal times, until we had seen it being heated up and served.
I do know they have a minimal budget, but her majesties detainees eat better
