Well, I made a comment and did exactly what you suggested with Google Translateand came up with
"Grammar Nazi in the fifth century palace"
which is actually spelled correctly and makes grammatical sense, so we can't discard the null hypothesis and accept your theory about what people are doing just yet.
Anyone who can guess what my original comment was gets a special prize.

It also calms down SHOUTY UPPER CASE if you go through Chinese.
