I had a hamster when I was a kidOn getting it home from the petshop, a couple of days later, she gave birth to about 6-8 babies. Left Hammy to it for the day whilst we worked out what to do with the babies, and on checking on them in the evening, the babies were gone, and a load of blood in the cage.
Baby hamsters had been nommed by mummy hamster. I guess we disturbed her at the worst time.
