My missus bought me some shelledpistachios yesterday for our holiday car journey next week - they just don't taste the same.
I think the effort of having to pull open the shell to get to the greenish goodness inside makes the salty kernel taste that much sweeter. That & I'm a tight bastard - shelled pistas cost a shitload more!
*Doesn't mean I haven't gone thru a good few handfuls already tho*

She normally does the right thing with my nuts!I think the idea was that since I'm driving I could just grab a handful - but then isn't she there to shell them for me whilst I'm busy?
