Bizarre habits
Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

When I read a book
I like to start at the top left-hand corner of a page, reading it from left to right and then moving down a line.
When I've finished the page on the left, I move onto the page on the right. Once I've read both pages, I turn over to the next page and repeat the process.

You'd be stuffed
if you were Chinese though.
(Or is that just one of those things you're told in primary school which is absolute nonsense but you believe it for 30 years anyway?)

Kinda correct
Historically, Chinese orthography starts at the top right then vertically down, then left one column, repeat.
More recently (1950s) China standardised on left to right, horizontally. By the 90s, most Chinese-style-writing nations have followed suit, except Taiwan.
