This is a question Bizarre habits

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

Dishwasher
Never ever ever let the other half stack the dishwasher. If she has I have to remove it all and restack it PROPERLY!

No, I don't know why she hasn't divorced me either. She calls me the dishwasher Nazi.

I'm the same
"Why did you do it that way?" "Do it yourself then!" "If I don't it won't clean properly" etc.

I have been on the receiving end of this.
It's not much fun when everything you do is wrong.

Oh, I do lots of things wrong but...
...she does manage to 'fill' the thing using one saucepan, two plates, salad tongs and half a dozen teaspoons!

She is an extremely successful and high powered barrister but can she get a machine to clean a pint glass...mais non. I on the other hand am a poorly skilled house husband so I need to be good at something.

If it works for the two of you, great :)
It recently stopped working for the two of us... I was trapped between not doing enough to help around the house, and everything I did do being wrong.

Sorry to unwittingly dredge up any anguish.
Luckily thus far it has, I tell her to leave it, she calls me a control freak wanker, I mutter a bit then realise she is right and apologise, she admits she knows she is shite at domestic stuff and leaves me to it and goes and does 12 hour days doing stuff helping people I could never hope to even attempt. We both understand our strengths and our weaknesses. Hopefully, she can put up with me a bit longer. I hope you have more luck in the future.

All I ask is that the rotating washer in the middle can turn without hitting anything otherwise we end up with half-clean plates, cutlery and glasses. Although obviously half-clean means dirty.
