My workmate and ispent an entire Friday afternoon a few weeks ago discussing how we would survive in an apocolypse scenario. We had it figured to the last detail and even to the point we went on google maps to locate good spots to migrate to like islands etc.
My planning was so much better than his though. We argued about what to do, how to get power, heat, light, fresh water. He thought of solar panels! Bloody solar panels indeed. I thought it better to locate a generator of some kind. This culminated in me texting him about the massive truck that drove past with hundreds of gas cylinders on the back whilst we were both stuck in the same traffic jam coming out of our industial estate.

Your idea was betterSolar panels are unreliable, besides you can always syphon fuel from the crashed cars and abandoned pumps.
