It doesn't take long from where I liveto get out on the plains. I love that out there you shut your car or bike off, and all you hear ( for the most part), is the sound of nothing, or at worst, the wind. I find it very peaceful & soothing. I have been there with people whose only comment is "ooh, it's soooo dead, it's just awful"
