Im exactly the same...even if I havent used the damned thing that morning, Ill get all the way to the tube station then suddenly think ' shit, did I check the iron..?!'.
Had to walk back and check more times than I care to remember...
Now, I check, and say out loud 'IRON; OFF' while looking at the plug lying on the floor...
Im special I know...
