Helicopter Parents
Back when young ScaryDuck worked in the Dole office rather than simply queuing in it, he had to deal with a claimant brought in by his mum. She did all the talking. He was 40 years old.
Have you had to deal with over-protective parents? Get your Dad to tell us all about it.

I'm 32, I work in IT and I live with my parents...
... "yes, I do online dating."
Got divorced (well getting divorced) since a year ago. It's slow progress. Unfortunately every penny I have is tied up in the house my ex is living in and as she's a mong with money it's taken her a year to actually reach the position I stated on day one of "You won't qualify for a mortgage in your own name to buy me out of the house.".
SO, for the last year I've been living with my parents... for the first time since I was 18. It's a VERY weird feeling when my Mum insists on giving me a kiss/hug each morning I go to work just like I'm off to school.
Thing is, I'm getting used to it now and wonder if I'll cope when hopefully before Christmas I can buy my own place and have to do my own laundry again....

Funny you should ask that
As I am the bloke across the desk from me who did exactly the same as me 6 months earlier.
Maybe I should have seen the writing on the wall when he split up with his wife, I told mine about it and she said "and what do you think about that?".

I am almost you
I am 38 and work in IT. Both my parents have passed away, and I am going to buy my ex out of the house, using my inheritance, plus an increased mortgage.
So, all you needed was for your parents to die, and you'd be sorted. :-/

I'm
37 and work in IT. This happened to me around 3 years ago.
Except my divorce was at the same time as my house burned down (and was the catalist for the divorce really) .
Very odd living back at my parents house, especially when my kids came to visit and we all had to live in my old bedroom.

I can sympathise...
34 (35 soon) nice gaff in Cheadle up till 12 weeks ago, now back in the old bedroom at the folks. to be honest though, it's not too bad really, I come and go as I please, it's certainly cheaper! and I've since met a really nice girl (Who I'm way better suited to btw) who has her own place so I'm round there most of the time anyway. No point me moving out on my own really cause the way it's going with this one I'll be moving in with her....
*Edit.. I work in IT too!
