IT Support
Our IT support guy has been in the job since 1979, and never misses an opportunity to pick up a mouse and say "Hello computer" into it, Star Trek-style. Tell us your tales from the IT support cupboard, either from within or without.

Well fuck Me Backwards...
I've worked in *IT* support for 25 years and I'd never heard it referred to as ICT. So I goes and looks it up.
Information and Communications Technology.
Smells like messaging and web to me.
Cheers

good lord!
blimey a reply from Legless himself ;) we call it ICT and Facilities to give it the full title. I have a hand in everything from putting out the bins, restocking the tuck shop fridge, changing light bulbs through to managing the servicedesk, dealing with support calls, and provisioning new services and LES lines etc. We really do all sorts, we also maintain and manage the Mitel phone system and all mobiles and smart phones (hence the communications bit!)
We're also starting to play with OCS and presence notifications using posh new phones and Office Communicator and other fun new stuff (got a Microsoft Roundtable under my colleague's desk too!)
sorry to waffle on!
