IT Support
Our IT support guy has been in the job since 1979, and never misses an opportunity to pick up a mouse and say "Hello computer" into it, Star Trek-style. Tell us your tales from the IT support cupboard, either from within or without.

Oh, it can happen
the other way around too.
I repair PCs in a workshop. Occasionally, a PC sent to us will have a non-removable BIOS password on which means a phone call to the customer asking politely if we can have their password.
Obviously, this word means nothing to me. It may be the name of their firstborn, or their favourite footy team, but to me it's a series of characters. Now on most PCs once you type the password in, it then boots to OS - no chance to get to the BIOS settings to remove it. On more than one occasion (and more than five if I'm honest) I've forgotten the password by the time Windows has booted and then been shut down and have had to call back.
