That would result in words that should have an uppercase letter,such as the first letter of a sentence and proper nouns, having a lowercase letter too. So basically you still fucked him over AND stole his money.

Well, I assume they changed it to lower case and then correctedWhich would still be faster than retyping manually.
But of course, in any case they certainly also defrauded the university by doing private work on the university's time, and in doing so being unavailable to 'help' other students.
