The comms roomPart of a former job entailed going into the comms room and rebooting the server if someone at another site said certain things weren't working. The Comms room had become a dumping ground for the IT department and when there was not a clear route to the server a colleague refused to go in there. The "on call" IT person would be phoned and if they answered at all nothing happened so a system failure on Friday after four would usually not get touched till Monday morning despite the company operating 24/7. This situation continued till the weekend the head of IT couldn't off load his on call stint to someone else. He got the call on a Saturday morning about the server needing rebooting and why we weren't doing it and exploded. By 1100 Monday the Comms room was empty.
