What's the most horrific thing you've seen?
What is going on?
Lightguy was walking home when he saw a fox eating a cat. As he watched, it threw up on the cat and then continued eating, having doused it in its own marinade.
Only this morning, Rachelswipe saw a tramp hock up a bright green loogy, only for a pigeon to hop over on its withered stumps and peck it up joyfully.
Are these the end times? What horrible stuff have you seen recently?

Executions
Something approaching 10 years ago, I was at a talk, given by the BBFC, about film and video classification. After suitable warnings and a chance to object, they showed a scene from a video called Executions (rated 18), which features a collection of real-life people being killed in judicial executions (or whatever passes for judicial execution) around the world.
Some bloke is made to kneel down on the ground with a sign around his neck (forget what it said, but it was basically along the lines of what crimes he'd committed). He's then shot with a machine gun and falls over. Still breathing. Shot some more. Still breathing, so they loose off of a round of shots into his head. At this point, there's very little blood but his face has been completely reshaped as the bullets rip through his skull. Amazingly, he's still breathing.
A caption scrolls along the bottom of the screen telling us he took a further 60 seconds to die.
A lecture theatre full of a couple of hundred people, and you could have heard a pin drop.
