anon: [sic]is latin for "like". it is when you are copying something that someone else has written and they have made a mistake like a spelling mistake. you don't want to look as if you made the mistake. so you write it like the original and put [sic] in italics after the offensive mistake.
i also don't get where some people get their usernames from - some of them are really funny, others impressively random - stories behind them could make a good QOTW!
