Hypocrisy
Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

let's be fair though
regarding christopher reeve aswell, as i know he got a lot of stick for this too from various peoples. how many of you would suddenly become supportive of stem cell research if you were severely injured / became seriously ill and were told further research could improve your quality of life, or even completely cure you? or how many of you would go barmy and start petitioning over the whole postcode lottery thing for cancer drugs if your significant other got the big c and were told they weren't eligible for treatment, despite you having not given a fuck about the matter previously?
it's all part of the human condition. people don't tend to care about things until they directly affect them or someone they care about.
in other words, aren't you all technically being the hippocrates? =)
excuse me a moment while i climb down from my high horse (i wouldn't want the damn animal to suddenly get spooked and throw me off!)
