This is a question Hypocrisy

Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

Rank Hypocrisy
Years back, my ex-ex-ex-girlfriend says to me, “That’s all you ever think about isn’t it? Me, me, me, me, me, me, me. Well I am fed up of your selfishness.”

We had just spent the day, literally the day, in fucking clothes shops with her trying on average 7 articles of clothing per shop, and we went to 15 shops. Oh, and buying nothing either. I sat with my head in my hands quietly despairing and I asked her if she planned on buying anything and did she have anything in particular in mind so perhaps we could concentrate on that sort of item?

As it turned out, this was the wrong thing to say. “You can’t ‘have a list’ to go clothes shopping” she marvelled. “Clothes shopping is an empathetic accomplishment.”

Well that was me told.

Then I asked if I could pop over to the charity bookshop down the road while she was trying things on. Then the above rant was delivered. I was needed as a sounding board for clothes as her usual clothes shopping buddy was on holiday and she ‘desperately needed’ something to wear for work.

It was a bad day, all in all.

Then the next weekend we went shopping again. I needed a few bits and pieces, but I didn’t want to bore her with my nerdy needs so I asked her if she wanted to meet somewhere while we both did her own thing. Then I was accused to not wanting to spend time with her. So I went to my bookshops, and my games shops etc. As soon as we went in, she immediately asked if we could leave, and what did I want, did I have a shopping list? Well, no, I don’t have a shopping list but I have a rough---------

Dragged out.

Then we went to a dress shop.

Fuck my luck.

Then we split up. It was naturally all my fault.

My girlfriend and I go our separate ways when we shop
she know's I'm useless as a sounding board for womens clothes, and she knows she can't take me anywhere near lingerie without me touching the displays.

quite the opposite for me
my gf knows I have a better eye for style then she does.

I also quite like shopping for clothes...

if I come back from town without having bought something I feel like I've failed...

"Ex-ex-ex-girlfriend"
Means she was your girlfriend, then you split up, and then you got back together, and then you split up again. Is that how that works? I'm confused.

Sorry
She was a girlfriend but now many different girlfriends ago. We were only together for a time once.
