I've just bought a Dell.
Do it through the website, as it keeps your contact with pushy sales types to a minimum. Unfortunately, it seems you can't get XP with any of their PCs any more, though if you want to play games don't get 64bit Vista as it causes some older ones not to run :(

I would happily pay a few quid not to talk to sales folk.
Particularly from India. Not that I have anything against Indians as such.
