I know how your poor hands and arms must've felt getting those books home.
I've had a car and driven pretty much everywhere for the last 5 or 6 years until last year (and mostly everywhere in my mother's car before that).

This means that I have a terrible habit of impulse buying things, walking out of the shop and standing in the carpark for a few minutes before thinking "how the hell am I getting this home on the bus?!"
I even did it at IKEA: 16kg? no worries!
