This is a question Impulse buys

I'm now the owner of a monster trampoline that's nearly too big for the garden. Tell us your retail disasters and triumphs.

Want.
I'd love one, but it'd cost way too much in fuel.

But
if the car only costs you less then £500 to start with, you can afford to burn a lot of fuel, compared to say a second hand diesel Mondeo at £5k or whatever.

I know which would be more fun.

over 32mpg on a recent motorway trip.
Fine, go buy a fuel efficient diesel Yaris. How much do you think depreciation will cost me on a £500 car?

But the very best thing, when asked "What car do you drive?" I can reply:-
"I drive a Jag"

Go buy one, carpe diem!

Me too, great cars
Very well done on finding a manual. How is the gearbox? I've only driven auto XJs.

As you roar past the ecomentalists in their Duracell powered Piouses you can feel comfortably smug in the knowledge that your car is far, far better for the environment than theirs ever could be. Yours, you see, is fully recycled. At 32mpg you're doing better than them on the motorway, and your car's production footprint was absorbed years ago. Even the four cows that died to coat the interior are no longer spewing clouds of methane into the atmosphere. My sincere congratulations on your green peasant crusher.
